Here's a quote from the story on MOSR. I know, I know... take all MOSR's info with a huge grain of salt. But if it's true, forget Xbox and all the other consoles. I'll just take my Mac.

--------------

Although generally not included with the install CDs given to developers, the very latest builds have sported nVidia drivers for the GeForce 2MX graphics card that rocket ahead of the OS X drivers for ATi's RADEON; in one test with an Altivec-enhanced alpha build of Quake III: Team Arena, Apple sources report very close to 150 frames per second with a GeForce 2MX in a dual-733MHz G4e system with -- get this -- ALL high-quality options on, in 1280x1024 resolution! The new nVidia drivers, OS X's awesome OpenGL layer, the enhanced Q3-TA altivec support, and dual processors drive more than three times the FPS of a single-733 GeForce system running 9.1 with the existing Team Arena, which can only pull about 45fps at 1280x1024 high-quality presently. Impressive!

Pa-leeeeeeeeeeease.... it's f&*king MOSR. 150 fps on a system is not shipping for another month, running an alpa version of an application running upon a developer-only copy of an OS?!

Garbaaaahge.

Meader is smoking another large bong. My Athlon that's tweaked out for gaming (800-megahertz with 512-megabytes of RAM and the higher-end GeForce^2 GTS graphics card with 64 megabytes of DDR-SDRAM), and doesn't get 150 frames per second at 1280 by 1024 unless i'm running at 16-bit color and with vertex lighting turned on.

A geforce2mx cannot put out those framerates at that resolution.... doesn't matter what CPU you have. Even if you had 5,000 mhz G10s, it wouldn't do it. Go to www.xlr8yourmac.com for more info....
