Any idea what happened to the Mac release of this one? There was all kinds of talk about it getting released this summer, but I haven't seen it anywhere.

The release kept getting pushed back because they wanted to get the many problems in the PC version sorted out and have the fixes incorporated into the Mac version. Latest I've seen is "by the end of the year." ... which probably means January or February.

Check out the recommended minimum requirements: "G4/400, 512MB RAM, 32MB 3D Video Card, 40X CD ROM"

That's nuts. G4s only ship with 32x CD Drives! Is it altivec enhanced? Why would it require a G4 otherwise....surely a G3/700 iMac could handle it? Otherwise it seems like a v. poor marketing decision. How many people own machines that powerful....and of that percentage, how many play games, or have an interest in that particular game? Weird.

Beta testers haven't seen a bug fix since summer...

40X CD ROM requirement:

What an idiotic thing to put as a 'requirement'. From a technical standpoint, that makes absolutely no sense at all.

An 8X drive would probably work just fine. 40X....give me a break.
