I've got pretty much the exact recommended system on the bottom of the Rogue Spear box: G3 300 (beige), 160 MB RAM, Voodoo5 card. But the 3-D rendering is awful. Slow, jerky, low detail. It can't be even using the Voodoo card. Must be using software rendering. But there aren't any options in the game for manually setting the video card, at least none that I can find. The Voodoo card works fine; Unreal Tournament, Quake 3 and Myth II all are smooth as silk with beautiful lighting effects. It's like the game didn't autodetect the card on install. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful. I'm using 3dfx drivers 1.1.2. I hear there's a 1.1.3b version out there, but I can't find it. I'm also using Apple's OpenGL 1.2.1 drivers.

If there's no fix for this, I'm gonna have to return this, 'cause it's terrible.

I've heard that there are a lot of problems with Voodoo 5. All I can say is to download Apple GameSprockets.lib and the newest version of OpenGL at apple.com. It takes a little searching but it's worth it. I know that I had 3D problems with Oni until I downloaded the gamesprockets.lib file. Also make shure that your V-RAM is set up high, MOST BUT NOT ALL of the time V-RAM helps more than hurts a game but Rogue Spear might be one of those "not all" games. If you still have problems try to reinstall the file, every so often a file or two will not be installed properly. If that dosen't work than demand a refund! Sorry that I could not be of more help!
