So, I finally managed to get the OSX version of Q3A to work right (it turns out that Quake3.app only recognizes "pak0.pk3", not "PAK0.PK3"! ). So I can play against bots to my heart's content.

However, when I try to play a multiplayer game (in 9 or X), and I go to the "Mplayer" servers (instead of "Local" ones) I am informed that there is no response from the master server. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem?

Thanks!

No, iD's just having problems with their server...it should be resolved soon. You just got unlucky and installed the game when iD was having problems with their server.

Yeah...I try to find internet games on q3a (MOD-Urban terror, Tribal, and WFA) but it tells me it's "getting info for -1 servers". And it just started telling me that a couple days ago....

I think it was a problem with @Home users only. My friend on Speakeasy DSL could use it fine, whereas my friends on @Home (including myself) couldn't get to it.

Those who couldn't use the master server, what ISP do you use?

I couldn't get on all weekend and I am an @Home subscriber. Hope we aren't getting screwed...
Yeah, about those TPS reports, didn't you get the memo?

I'll be damned...maybe it *IS* an @home problem...I'm on a Rogers@home ISP...and come to think of it, I've been having trouble accessing lots of sites lately...
