Hi dear people,

Situation:
Students' house, 8 comps from ibook blueberry (os9) through pentiums 2 and 3 (win98-xp) up and even an ibook dual usb (osx)
The only multi-player games we've been playing is doom2 and starcraft: these run on any comp. Now, we're looking for a new game, preferably one that: runs on all systems, is not a 1st person shooter, is something like starcraft or a ralley-simulation. I've not been able to find anything yet, but maybe anyone here has a suggestion?

Thanks!
Stefan

Starcraft is out for Mac OS 9 and X and should work cross platform. Total Annihilation is good if you are all under OS 9.

Myth II was(is) a GREAT multiplayer game. Should be available & really cheap now. Great 3rd party maps (WWII ). Look it up ! Should work fine on those CPUs...

I'm still waiting for Diablo II to make its appearance on X. I HATE booting into OS 9 all the time.

I have to second Jansar's opinion. Diablo II would be a great game to have. And it'll be even better when it's available on OS X.

Myth II, absolytely. And easy on older hardware, as is Carmageddon 1/2 - old, not really rally, but used to be tons of fun on 9600 or similar older Macs.

No, C&C will not work under OS X. Although I do have a copy I don't want if someone wants to buy it.

You try Warcraft? It's even older than Starcraft, but still good. Diablo2 would be good, but it would really be pushing your lower end machines.

If you want to try a Rally'ISH simulation you could try 4X4 Evoloution it's available fot the Mac and PC (now probably reduced) looks good plays okay come into it's own in multiplayer mode and is interne compatibale with PC's (and Dreamcasts JFYI) so I think but don't know for certain if it's network compatible with Mac's & PC's

No Descent?
