Whenever i start up GameRanger, I get this dialogue box thing:
. so i click on the free account button. i try to typ info in the appropriate areas, but it won't let me enter any text. i also tried clicking on "i have forgotten my password." (i signed up awhile ago). so then i enter my email address and press send info. the status bar never makes any progress.
I also can not access gameranger.com. i have used gameranger b4 w/out any problems, and now all of this is happening.

Yeah, I get a "connection refused" message.

I wonder of some older accounts were removed or corrupted?
Microsoft is not the answer. Microsoft is the question. The answer is "No."

Last I heard Scott Kevill spouted out some lame excuse that OS X couldn't open the appropriate game (or couldn't search the HD for the games you had and therefore crippling the game auto-detection features that's in the OS 9 version of Game Ranger...know what I'm talkin' about?)

Could be true...but I'm sure that there are some easy workarounds. Only Mortal can detect whether you have WTCF, Q3 or Quake. Why can't Game Ranger?

Just a guess about the OS X port...

I saw Scott Kevil ask a question or two on the OpenPlay mailing list. OpenPlay is the replacement for NetSprockets.... but as far as I know it is not ready for primetime in OS X(although getting close). If he is using that for anything important, it could be a factor. We haven't added OS X networking support for our card game(www.yiminee.com) because we used NetSprockets in the OS 9 version... and when a OpenPlay replacement comes along the game may get updated(and so may GameRanger?).
