Screw 'World of WarCraft'! The last thing we need is a millionth Dungeons & Dragons knock-off online game! Jesus christ, these things are getting horribly boring.

Make a 'World of StarCraft' instead!

I am sure the game will come in due time. Most games these days are recycled ideas from old games (RTCW, Quake4, Warcraft3, etc), so I have no doubt that we will be kicking some tail in Starcraft2

The people that are creating WC3 now is those who shall develop Starcraft 2 if they choose to develop it. They have to finish WC3 first.

But why do they choose to make WarCraft III if all people want is a StarCraft sequel?

Because WC3 is delayed enough already. 3-4 years late now!

I would rather have a fun game then a rushed once...That is why the few places where they can spend has long as it takes to make a game (Blizzard, ID) product A+ quality games. If only all companies could spend as long as it took to create their masterpiece...

I had NO idea. I just hope Blizzard makes it eventually. They make amazing games, so the more time spent on them, the better.

No, I'm wondering why they decided to go ahead w/ WoW instead of SC2. Oh wait, probably because they wanted to jump on the MMORPG bandwagon. I bet they would make more money w/ SC2 though. I know 0 people who are interested in WoW and about 10 who would kill for SC2.

You know 10 people who want a game that does not exist based soley on the name? What if they do make SC2 and **** it up as much as they have done with warcraft? Will those 10 people still want it because it is called "Star craft 2"?

Uh, no. My friends aren't stupid. It would be under the assumption (which I believe is safe) that Blizzard would make a fantastic game. But if you still want to be uncharitably nitpicky let me rephrase:

I know 0 people who have any interest in WoW. I know at least 10, probably more, who would be extremely interested in Starcraft2.

Starcraft 2 would sell like free hardware in Korea. EVERYONE would get a copy! World of Warcraft would not...

I have no interest in World of Warcraft. I've been waiting for SC2 and it looks like I will have to be waiting some more.

Thats just a cheap journalist attempt at trying to make blizzard spill the beans.

They are working on starcraft 2 as before WoWC was anounced they said it wouldnt be SC2. It will probably use the same (probably slightly tweaked) engine as WarCraft 3.

its too profitable a franchise to drop.

moreover, they are probably waiting to see if everyone likes all the changes they are implementing in warcraft 3, a feeler for the next starcraft.

i cant and wont believe they wouldn't make another starcraft, it would be like never making another mariokart game

There's someone in my head but its not me...

I believe Blizzard issued a press release (unofficial) saying this exact thing. They will make a Starcraft II, but when is unknown.

Why isn't anyone interested in WoW? It looks fun, and it sounds like it'll be taking a great game and expanding it to a whole new level.

And it is only in version 1.1.3 <sigh>
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.
