Hey anyone played the new Spiderman game, especially under OS X? Is it a good game, does it play well, what machine are you on, etc..? The only reviews I've seen of it all have the same three screenshots so I'm not even quite sure what you do in the game or anything.. but I like spiderman.

Ask me a question, I acna probably ansewer it. I will give you a brief summary of the game though. I hav played Spider Man in both OS ( and X, I find X very enjoyable. It's smooth as silk, and I'm one of those peoples that tweaks my config files to gain 5 frames a second.

What you do in this game is kinda hard to exaplain in a short paragraph but I will try. You play Spiderman in a 3rd person adventure game. Spiderman has the ability to swing from building to building, fight hand to hand with thugs, throw cars at thugs, scale walls and fight most of the bosses you see in the show. You will have alot of indoor levels where you can sneak around using your different web attacks, such as wrapping them up in web, shooting a web ball at them, creating a web shield or making webbed fist. I think this game is great fun. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

If you really want I can take some screenshots of some points in the game and post them.

I played Spiderman on my G4 450, and it ran like a dream with the resolution cranked way up. Spiderman uses the same game engine as Tony Hawk 2, so if it works well on your machine, then Spiderman will too.

I played the entire game under OS X, and it never quit or froze or did anything weird once. There is one problem however where the in-game movies have voice delays. Nothing that has any impact on the game, however Aspyr is aware of this and looking in to it.

The game is a LOT of fun, because you can do anything Spidy can. Your Spider-sense tingles when a bad guy is near by, you can lift huge objects, you can crawl along the ceiling and sneak up on bad guys, you can web badies and then beat them up, and best of all, there are lots of great jokes, and hidden features like alternate costumes for Spiderman. (eg, if you use the symboyite costume in the game you have unlimited webbing)

I pre-ordered it and I've had my fun with the game, so if your interested my copy is on eBay right now.. http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAP...=2&rows=25

But I also suggest buying it to show Aspyr what an amazing job they did of porting it!

The game runs surprisingly well on my Cube. It does not require heavy requirements and the game is extremely fun as well. The only problem is that I wish there were more levels.
