I picked up this game on the way home from work today, and I must say it is well worth the money! I usually don't just buy a game before I read some reviews, but I've had the hunger for a good racing game for a long time and I couldn't resist. I'm glad I took the chance and got it.
Installation went without any problems, unlike most of MacPlay's games. At first I was a little disappointed with the sound effects, all you can really hear is the high pitched whir of the engine. Even when you're 20 feet in the air in a big jump, and you land on the ground and flip over, it doesn't make a sound. Luckily the game play is so good it makes up for the lame sound effects. I still haven't raced all the tracks yet, but I have played a few multiplayer games on GameSpy without any problems.
Anyway, just thought I would mention this fun game. If anyone else out there has this game and wants to race, check my profile and e-mail me

Hey, pretty cool. Which configuration do you use and how fast does it run?

I have a dual 533 with 896 mb of RAM, geforce 2 MX, OS X 10.1.2, and the game runs very good. I have some of the graphics settings turned down though so I can run it with iTunes in the background and still have good framerates.
It's really fun to play with Macally's iShock 2, but the force feedback doesn't work

Nice to hear that you haven't had any problems yet, the game was ported by the orginal company that made the PC version of it, and simply polished off and published by Aspyr. For those of you who don't know, 4x4 Evolution 1 was a neat game, but it had very many bugs that never got fixed. I help run a Evo fan site, check it out sometime:

Hey I checked out your site, it's pretty cool. Straight and to the point. What kind of bugs did Evo 1 have? 2 seems rock solid to me so far, haven't had a single crash or anything funky happen. I think it's the most fun I have had in a game in a long time!

Well I believe it worked fine for Evo1. I haven't had the money to get Evo2 yet so I don't really know. It should.
Evo1 crashed alot on the splash screen when loading. Also Multiplayer was crappy and crashed alot too.
