If you have an nvidea card, most likely you are having problems with openGL games like quake3 and Wolfenstein. Here's something from the Apple Discussion site that tells you what files to replace (if you kept a copy of 10.1.2) to go back to video drivers and openGL that support Nvidea cars. I recommend making backups of each set of these files before you go tinkering with stuff that Apple doesn't want you to.

Well, I'm not completely sure if all of these items below are needed. But, here is what I took from my 10.1.2 system:
From the System>Library>Extensions> folder:
AppleNDRV folder (The whole folder)
GeForce2MXGA.plugin
GeForce2MXGLDriver.bundle
GeForce3.kext
GeForceGA.plugin
GeForce3GLDriver.bundle
NVIDIAResMan.kext
I basically looked for anything related to the video card or display. I imagine that the GeForce2 stuff would not pertain to you. But, I did want to try one by one. So, I just copied all of the above.
For the OpenGL stuff, here is the location and folder.
From the System>Library>Frameworks> folder:
OpenGL.framework (the entire folder)
Anyway, these files work for me.
