Changing screen Res in Oni for OSX

There is a bug in the OSX (Cocoa?) port of Oni which limits the screen resolutions available under "options", I currently have the choice of 640X480 or 800X600 @ 16 or 32 Bit, although with previous installs on different machines I've been limited to 640X480 and got as high as 1024X768.
The screen Res glitch is a non issue under OS9, but I only have OSX installed on my HD, s it is a problem for me...
I've tried editing the "startup.txt" (the only thing I can find with any mention of screen resolutions) but to no avail.
Anyone know how I can get higher than 800X600 on my G4DP800 with GF3 (Yuuuuum!)
