It sounds like your using 16 Bit textures (there's a fault in ATI's drivers which they can't be arsed to fix, as were only Mac users!@*?) as oppossed to 32 Bit which you should switch to (in Dues Ex &most other games, under Vid prefereces?) usually this would cause a perfomance hit but because you have a super douper Vid card (Radeon) you should notice no performance hit + all the snowy onscreen artifacts should be gone + 32 bit textuers look a lot nicer/richer than 16 bit anyway.

Open up your DeusEx.ini file in a text editor and check to make sure that the following settings are in place:

[RaveDrv.RaveRenderDevice]
Use32BitTextures=True
Translucency=True
VolumetricLighting=True
ShinySurfaces=True
Coronas=True
HighDetailActors=True
NonATI=False
LightModify=0.000000
TextureComposite=True
VertexLighting=False
DisableVSync=True
PageFlip=False
DetailBias=0.000000
MipMapping=True
DetailTextures=False
ShrinkPercent=1.000000

Then try running Deus Ex again and those visual artifacts should be gone.

And if you still have problems with your Radeon, you must immediately ship it to me.

500 bucks? Geez, I could buy two Voodoo 5 5500's for that...

Guess I'll have to wait until I get my own G4 & Radeon (still stuck on an Oct '99 iMac 350 for now... ).

I read somewhere recently (sorry, I can't remeber where, try XLR8 UR Mac or one of the Mac games sites) of the snowy artifacts thing with Deus ex, in 16 Bit mode I think this is a Deus ex prob or an ATI driver prob (exclusively with Deus ex, for the moment) depending on who you believe, my above comments still stand, if your playing other games in 16 Bit.
