Only the north american english version is available for Quicktime 4.12 which means UK OS'S (which require the english international version) are unable to run Heavy Metal FAKK2.

In reply to your question, No.
Simply use the update feature in the Version of QT4 you are using (open the Quicktime player go to the help menu & select "check for quicktime updates" & you should be on your way to using QT 4.1.2 for your OS version, it's what I did).
