I have been playing the PC versions since they came out, and I agree with most of the reviewer's comments. One area I disagree with is where the reviewer states: "The only bad thing is that, like the original, you still can't get a very solid feel for what the mission is going to bring without going in and playing." If you imagine that you are a member of the spec. ops. R6 team then you most likely wouldn't even get a 3D view of the terrain (which you get when planning the mission). I personally find this setup very good, in that you have to visualize what the environment might be like based on the 2D and 3D maps. It sets me up for the correct frame of mind to play the game well.

UO is even better, and it's awesome that mac fans get both in the same game.

Rufus.

UO or Urban Ops?

I haven't seen any mention of MacSoft packing Urban Ops with Rogue Spear. It would be nice to find out if that is the case. Does anyone know for sure?

MacSoft will indeed be including Urban Operations with Rogue Spear for the Mac. Like the original Rainbow Six which included Eagle Watch, they are molded together into one app so you can switch between them in-game. The game will come on 2 CD's: an Install Disc and a Play Disc with the Play Disc required to be in the drive while you play.

Why is there going to be a play CD? That is crazy to have to play from CD, it would be much faster if you were allowed to do a full install.

Propably cause there is tons of data needed for you to be able to play it and tons to install maybe. That is why Diablo 2 took like 3 cds all that stuff. hahahahahahahah no gr clan is the best cause they all suck, learn to play with pc people.

Having tons of data to install is no excuse. My old R6 files rang up to about 4 gigs and I have 26 gigs free right now. I would do a full install on anything regardless of how big it was, especially with games that have such poor network code as R6 had. Sounds to me like it is just copy protection.

The Play CD is mostly a copyright protection method.

Has anyone heard if there will be compatibility with PC mods? I've been playing on the PC for months and the mods add a huge variety of equipment to the game.

Also, what sort of system were those screenshots from?

The game is completely compatible with PC mods. The screenshots were taken from Red Storm's official web site.

How are the graphics in the game?

I got Rainbow Six, and I thought that the graphics were not very good at all. Has Rogue Spear improved on them at all, or are the the same?

Dave, please go read the aforementioned preview again, open up some of the screenshots, head to our Game Center page for the game and open up some more screenshots. If you still have the same question, feel free to ask it again.
