i own a few macs, one of which is an old (1994) Performa 6115CD,
upgraded w/ HPV card and sonnet 240 MhzG3.
so i'm curious about this older SFX plus gamepad controller (old-style ADB connection).
an auction seller has several.

the gamepad maker, sumcom, doesn't list this model anymore at their website.

i'm not the serious gameplayer, but
i've got games like descent2, marathon demos, maelstrom,
and
shoot 'em ups like Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior (Demo) which
play well on the upgraded 6115CD.

well, i noticed that this game controller has built-in prefs for many games including marathon.

1) would this SFX controller work well with the 1st person shooter games too?

2) was there a general concensus of good or bad about this controller from the mac game players?

btw,
one controller i got earlier for the 6115 was a $10 gravis joystick from outpost.
this joystick doesn't seem to be working well for me with either the WWII flight games or descent.
either i need to read the instructions better,
get more practice,
or it's a dud design.
...or *sheeesh*...what do i expect for ten bucks, LOL
