just trying out the demo, but it seems awfully dark, and the weapons are assigned to mouse clicks (2 buttons!!) which don't work. These settings don't appear to be changeable, as I can access the settings screens, but not make changes.

any suggestions?

I was wondering if my kensington 2 button mouse was the problem, but I swapped back the puck and it's the same.

don't want to go and get all addicted if I can't play... that cat is pretty cool yet annoying.

Using my work G4, 400 mhz, plenty o ram.

Do you have USB Overdrive? If so, disable it.

You know, even with the system that i'm playing this demo on, it's still a pretty good game. Just wish there was a first person option. Then this game would ALMOST be right up my alley.

nope, no USB overdrive. Perhaps it's the kensington drivers. Darn, I'll try making a game set of extensions.

Never mind making adjustments to settings, you can't fight without the mouse! Which means you're effectively dead. Argh.

Yeah, try searching for updated mouse drivers and hopefully that'll solve your problem...believe me, this game is worth the grief. Most amazing game I've ever played, without a doubt. The atmosphere is unreal.

Oh, and if you have the option, try booting into 10.1...there shouldn't be a problem with drivers there, hopefully, because that OS supports two buttons natively.

Kill the Kensington drivers completely, and replace them with USB Overdrive; then, in USB Overdrive, set up a profile so that when Alice is launched, it will disable itself

I really wish I had the patience to play this game...
