Ever since I switched to v436 from 425a, I've had poor ping, bad lag, & lock-ups. Local internet service has been bad, provider telling me it is because of all the old people checking on the election. I don't want to go back to v425a because a lot of servers won't work now with it. Also, it is kind of weird I no longer need the disc inserted to play the game. My computer is a iMac dvse snow 500mhz, 256 ram. -game set to 32bit, medium settings, running the rave. Thanks

Um...the world in general assumes yer talking about Unreal Torunament...........

Anyway, note that the update was SUPPOSED to enable you to run the game without the CD.

If I were you, I'd read the ReadME's about the patch before you actually installed it...that usually helps.

For the rest, I haven't an idea.....

Yes, it is UT-thanks Greg, I didn't see a "read me" prior to downloading from Nali City, (sorry) I'm kinda a newbie at this getting killed all the time, one of the reasons I'm scouring these forums for help.

Jsnuff, I'm kind of thinking maybe the problem is more with my connection than the v436, it is a phone connect 56k modem with my best connect speed at 42667bps, frequently during the game it displays a red square on the right side which I think means I'm having a poor connection. Thanks for any help. I have never seen a LAN game displayed.
