Ive just upgraded from a B&W G3 450 to a Dual 800 and in the process have lost my mouselook on all QuakeIII based games (ie, Heavy Metal also) and dont know if its due to the new OS 9.2.1, the optical mouse, the other hardware or what. Any suggestions?

Is the mouselook option enabled but just not working? Or is it that you can't enable it?

My mouse stops working all together when the game loads, ie, I cant even use it in the menus before you choose a game. All my selections have to be made using the arrow keys on the keyboard.

Heavy metal (1.02c beta 2) is doing the same thing for me. Mouse will work until i click it, and then i have to command-tab to get back to the app (you can see the dock flicker) and then the mouse will work again. Renders the game unplayable.

(maybe not the exact same thing, but thought i could try and resurrect a thread..)

I have the same problem on my PC. I found that binding a key to the up arrow and then using the uparrow makes the mouse return. It's a 1.31 bug I think. Never saw it before.

This is incredible! I cant believe that this post from 4/5 months ago just got dragged to the top. Id totally forgotten about it. I fixed the problem which was with my usb to serial adapter. Works fine in everything apart from games based on the Quake III engine. If I move the adapter from one usb port to another just before booting the game, it works again. Ive no idea what the reason is though.
