"I'll be putting up an OS X build of WolfMP2 soon. Been busy working on another game today."

great game (Test 2), however, my TI400 is waaaaaaaay to slow. Not playable, except in the smallest window. I hope performance will increaswe until the final release.

I reccomend avoding macgamefiles whenever possible. They have been known to modify (and screw up) file archives posted at their site.
WolfMP2 can be downloaded at idsoftware's site. Get it there.

I got it off ID's site this morning... it looks like it still quits on me when SMP is turned on, but the default is set to off now, so that really shouldn't be much of a problem.
Overall, I like the improvements - especially some the new sounds and the text seems crisper.

Uhm,
for like the one billionth time . Just chose the Wolfenstein folder that you see in the file window. That's it, it'll start up immediately.

Must be doing something wrong here - downloaded the installer and did the standard installation to my "Games" directory where I keep all my ... well, games. Although the first test worked fine on my machine (TiBook 500), aside from the annoying OpenGL error plaguing Ti's, this one won't even start up. Instead I get an error: Corrputed pak03.pk3. Anyone else experience this, or know what it means? I tried the installer once from MacGameFiles - then after reading above in this forum, I trashed that installation and tried another (not sure where from, but a different server). Can someone point me to the iD software link?
Other weird things - I wasn't asked to locate any WolfMP folder as others in this forum have reported (maybe I didn't even get that far). Also, I read somewhere that you have to trash the first MP test in order for this one to work...is that true? If so, I didn't do it - but the 2 tests are located in 2 different folders, of course (didn't try installing one over the other or mixing-and-matching parts...i'm not THAT clueless).
If anyone's got an idea, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks!

Spiffy,
You have to delete the old version otherwise it won't work, even if you install the new one in a different folder. I had the same problem until I trashed the old version.

Excellent - it works fine now. Thanks for the help. I thought that might be the answer, but I was afraid to trash my one working version! Now if somebody could just fix that OpenGL thing........although my suspicion is that it's Apple's problem.

It still sucks on my Ti 500 (384 RAM). But according to the developer it's nowhere near optimized yet. He'll probably release a couple of patches when he gets to it - in the meantime just turn off some texture/lighting detail and it runs ok.

Can anyone post a link to where to find the necessary files to go with WolfMPX? I trashed everything before copying the installation files.

I've been trying to get the dedicated server up and running but it seems like i'm doing something wrong here...
I've downloaded the 'WolfDedicated' file and place it in the Wolf folder but I still can't start as a dedicated from within wolf itself - it just hang there for a while, disabling my mouse until I force quit!
help me!

AGHHHHH
I had Wolk MP 1 running on my G4 400 PCI, and Cube 450 fine (well apart from its usual bugs and hangs) but on my workhorse G4 450 it would hang whenever it was loading a game. Of course OSX doesnt crash (well apparently) but if a game crashes and locks the mouse then you cant force quit anyways..
Well, Wolf MP 2 runs nice on the 400, dont have the cube on hand to try but the thing still crashes the G4 450... the first few times it crashed in the same place, when the loading screen was on, it gets right to the end and stops (left it "loading" once for a good 10 mins to see if it was just slugging along but it was DOA) and now it just gets to a white screen when you launch Wolf MP and hangs there.
Anyone have any ideas what I might do to get it running?

It runs decent on my DP G4 450 with 384MB of RAM. I think a 32MB video card would do wonders compared to my dinky Rage Pro.
(Doesn't suck how expensive vid cards are for us when PC folk can get 64MB(!!!!) cards for less than $100...a topic for some other time).
One problem that I've experienced happens after I quit....basically, the system (desktop, finder, open apps, etc.) becomes really, really, really slow for the first two to three minutes after I quit. Then everything becomes normal again.

in the console (~ key) type "/cg_drawfps"
I've got a Dual G4 450, 320 MB Ram, stock ATI Rage 128 Pro AGP.
In 640x480 I'm constantly above 30 fps. Maybe dropping slightly below when I'm outside... inside I get anywhere from 40-80 fps
In 800x600 outside the framerate is usually 20 fps and inside it's usually around 40 or 50.
Not stellar, but I haven't done much tweaking... I'm sure I could squeeze out more

I think that's the system swapping itself out of virtual memory... Since you're really not using the finder or any other apps, they get sent to the VM - giving Wolf all the physical RAM it needs... I think that's how it works anyway.
I get the same thing, and my pageouts are usually much higher after I quit Wolf.

I can't get anything except a screen full of blurry lines and music. I have a G4/867 with a gig of RAM. It starts up fine and I get the initial 'Venom' picture, but when it goes to what I assume is the menu I get a bunch of lines on the screen like when a cable channel doesn't come in because of a storm. The music plays and to exit I have to hit the up arrow (it responds with a clunk sound like I am scrolling through a menu) and a return.
I have tried 832x624, 800x600, thousand of colors and millions of colors.
Any ideas? I would love to try it out.
thanks,
kman

I'm only able to zoom in with the Maucer (the sniper rifle)...I'm not sure if it's a bug or if you're not suppose to be able to zoom in with any other weapon.

Well, I can zoom in with the sniper rifle, but I can't shoot. How weird is that?
I've played about with the controls a lot and can't find anything that will resolve this, has anyone else figured this out?
Basically, I zoom in on a target, point it at someones head, and then try to fire...nothin happens

I'm using a DP450 with 10.1.1, and the Test 2 of RtCW.
Microsoft intellimouse. I'm able to zoom in/out with only the mauser, using the scroll wheel on the mouse, and fire just fine.
dunno why you'd be having problems.

I use the option key to zoom in, and then try clicking my mouse button to fire, but nothing happens, is there a key i need to configure just for the sole purpose of firing the sniper rifle or what?
