I recently picked up Myst III Exile and when I tried to update it to version 1.22 the installer quitssaying "File not found myst iii exile." which is complete BS because I just installed it off the darned CD! I can't play Myst III under 10.1 without updating it to 1.22. I've tried running the updater under "Classic 9.2.1" and booted into 9.1. Has anyone else seen this or did I blow 35 bucks on a game I can't play?

Yes, the same thing happened to me. Now if only I could think back and remember what I did ...

I think first I tried renaming the game file, and that didn't work.

Then I think what the problem was, was that the installer and the game were on different partitions -- apparently the installer looks only on its own partition. I dragged the installer onto the same partition as the game, and then ran it. Then it worked.

I could be remembering wrong. Let me know if this works or not.

Need... sleep...

Negative I ran the i nstaller from the same partition and even the same folder and got the same error. *Sigh* I guess I'll try emailing Ubi-Soft but usually contacting manufacturers is a wate-o-time.

Someone on another forum suggested that myst needs to be in your applications folder and that didn't work either. Anyone else have any suggestions? I'd be greatful.
