Hi, the last thing I want to do to my mac is run a Microsoft game on it, but I can't say the same for my boyfriend. Apparently that new flight simulator 2 pacific theater game was made for him, but we have a Mac (HAPPILY!). I was wondering if Virtual PC or any other emulation software will be able to run the game...I have a G4 867 with lots of RAM..any ideas, has anyone tried it? Will we need any other hardware or software for this? I'm optimistic but not too hopeful, any advice would be appreciated!

I'm not familiar with the game so I can't answer for sure, but I can say something. If the game requires any 3D acceleration, then an emulator won't do it justice. All emulators only emulate a 4MB video card that has no 3D acceleration. That means you'll need to use software rendering, and with an 867 with VPC 4.0 you might get the same resutls as a PIII 600MHz would if it were using software rendering. it might look perfectly acceptable, but I can;t say for sure.
