would it be possible to play CS by installing Linux PPC and installing the Linux version of CS?

I think there is no playable Linux version,the only thinh
written for Linux is Counterstrike SERVER software to host
multiplayer matches, but this is NOT a version that is playable by
itself. Sorry to disappoint you.

the version of counter strike/halflife is for intel linux and not PPC linux... intel linux binaries will not work on ppc linux, and I do not think that they have made the source available for you to recompile it for the ppc platform...
