are the requrements for this as much as for running the game itself? I guess what i am wondering is does it still have the same video requirements, or is there a way to run the server with out a good graphics card.

There's someone in my head but its not me...

It might help people respond to your question if you mentioned which game you were thinking of running a dedicated server for specifically.

In a word: no.

I've hosted LAN games of UT using a 9500/120 with 64MB RAM upped to 128 using Virtual Memory.

I had to run UT in software mode at first because the gfx card hasn't got enough VRAM. After that it's sweeeet. I had 4 people playing off it on 10Mb ethernet and getting pings of ~80.

My name's ...uh... it's a bummer man.
