I am having huge probelms with Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (based on the Q3 engine). You see, it crashes. Not just a polite quit, but it freezes my G4 completely. I have to push the reset button. And, it does this EVERY time I open up a new game (or load a saved game). It used to work, but after playing it once, it won't work.

I have re-isntalled the game, but it made no difference.

I have a ProFormance 3 plus graphics card (with my SGI flatpanel), and although it is supposed to work perfectly with OpenGL, I think that this may be the problem. Does anyone have a similar setup? How is Q3 or Elite Force on your computer?

The game looked so cool when I played it. I would really appreciate any help.

It turns out that it was my graphics card - Elite Force doesn't work with the Formac card. It should, but it doesn't.

Can you run it with software rendering?
