I now no longer have the urge to buy a PS2 to complement my GC!
Man, this is awesome... aw man... I'm so happy.

Anyone else feel similarly?
Be happy.

Yeah, I was pretty excited to hear about this, though I was really pissed when one read about a Square exec. mentioning Sony as "where the money is at" a while back. I don't like developers all about the money, rather than the art of video game making and giving everyone the opportunity to play your game without buying a damn PS2 (don't have one, don't want one).

Anyhow, I'm glad to hear it. I read that the first title is mostly like a FF game based on the animated series in Japan. There will be a GBA and GC title, and they will interact via the GBA to GC cable thingy. I also read that the original director has supposedly been working on these projects as early as October of last year. So cool beans to that. Back to Golden Sun and Super Smash Bros.

Austeros, you a Radiohead fan by any chance? Odd question, but just wondering. Your signature made me want to ask.

FFX was good, just not up to the standards set by FF7, 8 and 9. Of course, I played only FF8 all the way through (never have owned a PSX or PS2), but I can still tell which games are better.

IMHO, their best three games to date are:
• Super Mario RPG (for SNES, still my favorite console game of all time)
• Chrono Trigger (for SNES, to quote thousands of people, "the perfect RPG")
• Chrono Cross (for PSX, played it in VGS, excellent combat system and music, cool story, etc. etc.)

But hell, I'd take any Square game on my GameCube!
Be happy.

Hehe, I thought so. That's cool to see another Mac head Radiohead fan. I've been a huge fan of them ever since their first works, for many years now. Very talented bunch. Anywho, this isn't a damn music forum -- so, yeah, I can't wait for this new Square title, though it is through an affiliate and not coming directly from Square.

I'd also like to add to the awesome RPG list with Secret of Mana, a friggin' awesome SNES game, as I'm sure many of you know. I'd love to see another title of that, besides the sequel they supposedly did.

Well, back to listening to Radiohead.

Other music suggestions: Sunny Day Real Estate (no longer together) , Shiner, and Appleseed Cast.

Hey, anyone excited about Resident Evil or Metroid Prime? Like I even need to ask.
