I need a racing game bad! What I really want is Gran Turismo 3 for my Mac, but in reality, I'll take any racing games I can get! This is STRICTLY for X by the way. I already have Reckless Driving but I'm very sick of it already, as you can imagine.

Yeah, but the version being developed is F1 2000. As you may or may not have noticed, the 2002 season has just started. Still, better than nothing.

Oh man I always hated need for speed. Ths driving is so unrealistic. I always loved Gran Turismo, I wish there was some sort of PSX emu that worked on OS X, and with nVidia hardware. Or I wish someone would just make a really sweet Racing game for X.

so is it true that VGS doesn't work with nVidia cards? i've always heard that, but i never found anyone who has actually said "i have VGS, and it doesn't run with my GeForce." i was actually thinking about putting a flashed PC GeForce in my sawtooth to replace the Rage 128, but if it doesn't work with VGS, then no way. i can't live without my Gran Turismo 2. it's the only reason i boot into 9 (well, that, and pro tools).

i haven't heard about F1 for the mac. does anyone know when exactly the beta is supposed to be out?

Get 4 x 4 EVO 2. Sure, there aren't any cars, but it's really fun. There's lots of trucks, addons, and plenty of tracks. It's a great game, and the multiplayer is excellent.

This has two answers.

The game was supposed to be Beta now but there are a few sound bugs. Development is going fine on the graphical side though.

The beta is not going to be public anyway...

But if you have testing exp you could always ask I suppose.

Cheers Edd

Erm, no, the best racing game ever is Grand Prix Legends Pc-only, alas. Makes those wimpy drive-by-themselves F1 cars of today feel like kindergarten racers.

NASCAR for Mac works pretty ok in Classic mode under OSX, though. Good game as well.

I say try out Reckless Drivin'. It's not really racing but you're in a car.

Yeah but once you get to the last level, it just repeats. After you've gone through all the levels 3 times, it gets kinda boring. And I get so many extra lives, that game could go on forever.

Drivers is for OS X? If it is I'd rather just download it then you can destroy my original copy ;-) ;-). [By the way if you save your sig file as a gif instead of a jpg, it will look much better and probably take up even less space. 16 colors should be plenty.]
