ok, so i am playing the demo right now, waiting for my code to unlock the full version, and every time i try to go to the kania system (with mu'randa) to pick up bis andreya but every time i get there (using the jumpgates or just regular drives) all the ships there decide to blow the crap out of me...
what gives? fed ships at earth decide to do the same thing claiming i am carring illegal cargo. my little transport doesnt even have time to try and run before they destroy me.
any help would be appreciated

You could take the long way around and not go through Fed space. Or get a a more durable ship.

The feds don't get terribly impressed when you carry illegal cargo (and Mu'randa being Polaran, with the Federation practically at war with them, the feds are even less impressed). I suggest buying another ship, like the Starbridge, Valkyrie or IDA Frigate, and just make a blokade run.

A few escorts can help by taking some of the hits for you... not very economic, but helps. Later on, the cloaking device is really worth it's 1 M price for runs like this.

ahh geeze... i didnt know she was a polarian (i was guessing she was vellos) i was waiting till i had maybe 50000 more so i could get an enhanced starbridge, but it looks like i will have to get something sooner.
ive tried taking other routes... but the problem is landing on the planet in the system.
maybe i will run a few other missions before taking her to kania. and you can bet i will buy a cloak, if i have an extra million =)

is the cloaking device available to purchase only in certain story lines/event triggers? I have completed both the pirate and vell-os lines and I dont see the cloaking device available to buy anywhere. I have lots of money in both.

Yeah, I've completed the Rebel and Auroran strings, and the cloak wasn't there either. My guess is that it belongs to the Polaris missions, since their technology is more advanced than anything else around.

i just purchased a cloaking organ, and i guess i am doing the polaris missions so you can find one there. its not a cloaking device as you get in star trek (cloak and decloak) but it kind of phases in and out of sight (like the aliens located north of polaris space do).
it makes you harder to see, but i guess has no effect on weapons. the polaris have nice jammers though =)

I got the illegal IR and radar jammers (the ex-military ones) and they seem to work OK, but not great. I'm Vell-o's right now, Not spending tooo much time with the game.
