When I play D2:LOD for OS X I have a big black boarder around the play screen. It's the same with The Sims.

Rage 128 Pro
OS X 10.1.3
Intel iMac 1.8
Logitech Mx 7000

Is the border overlapping the game screen or is it just that the game switches into a resolution that needs to be tweaked? If it's the latter, use your monitors 'stretch horizontal and vertical' buttons to make the picture fit to screen. If it's the former...I have no idea.

oh no, it's a good 1" to a 1.5" boarder around the entire screen. I don't it will stretch that much.

Are you using a LCD? Because I have that same issue on my PC laptop(work bought it...not my choice) and so do my coworkers when they run it on a LCD.

You'd be surprised at how much you can readjust your screen. Try that first. Switch to the same resolution/refresh rate the game uses while you're in the Finder. Adjust as best you can, then run the game to see if the problem goes away.

My iMac (CRT) will have over a 1" border around the screen if I zap the PRAM. If I go through and adjust it I can fill up my screen completely.

One thing that does arise, if I zap the PRAM I need to readjust the video at all resolutions. Each resolution's screen size & shape are independant...

powerbook 667 has it when in either 800x600 or the second lower setting. I just figure it is the game doing its thing, as I have it in os 9 as well (if I remember correctly).

I'll tell you what problems I've been getting lately...

'Realm down' errors (the realm isn't really down...I have to retry a billion times to log into the realm.)

'Failed to join game' errors (I also have to retry this many times before I can get in.)

D2:LOD is unplayable now.

I've pretty much given up on Diablo2...far too many issues that affect performance lately.
