It will. It'll start off a bit chunky because the first level is outdoors, but it's still quite good if your expectations aren't set too high. It's just like UT once you get inside, and runs quite nicely.

I fyou want to improve performance just attack the graphics settins in the Dues-Ex ini file, although on your computer you should'nt really need to as the game should look and play fine, the one thing that is causing the slowdowns outside is the size of the levels and the fact that the game loads the whole texture map for waht ever level your playing in one go.
Now your iMac only has 8MB Video Ram but that's still ok, the one thing that will really speed things up is even more system Ram (I believe texture maps can be stred in system Ram on your iMac, because of the AGP) I know you've got quite a lot already, but you can never have to much & this game is a super memory hog!
But it should run fine on yuor iMac as it is at the moment (I've got a Rev C iMac 192MB Ram & it's fine).
Remember- An iMac is not just for Christmas, it's for life.

Knowing that it is an upgraded Mac helps us a bunch.
Next time please, please, please say it's an upgraded Mac. Any reasonable person would have thought it was a standard, fifth revision (2a) iMac. Don't make there more trouble than there has to be.
It will help us all out a lot. Thanks for your help, and enjoy the MacNN forums.

I just wanted to know that if it worked on a 400 mhz G3 then it would work even better on a 433 G4

The problem doesn't lie with the processor, it lies with the video card. If I recall correctly, the Rev C. iMac only has a Rage Pro, whereas a 400 mHz DV has a RAGE 128. This, unfortunately, will make much more difference overall than the faster processor. But roders says that it runs perfectly well on his computer (which matches specs with yours other than the upgraded processor) so you should be kosher.
