When y'all do your game reviews, can you please make a point to track a game's OS X performance? With so few Carbon games, knowing how well a game runs in Classic is, for me, as big a factor in the buying decision as anything else.

I hate rebooting into OS 9. So ya know what? UT, which used to be my favorite game, never gets played. The last game I bought was Alpha Centauri, 'cause it's pretty solid in Classic (window mode). Baldur's Gate, which I expected to go down in flames, actually seems to run flawlessly (haven't tested long-term, but so far so good), so I might check out TOSC, even though I was previously committed to waiting for Carbonized BG2.

I suspect that there are a decent number of people out there like me. None of the major sites seem to report on this, or at least in any consistent manner. Please please please.

I am in the same boat, but I went the other way. I never go into X anymore! Like you said, it's too much of a pain to reboot back and forth all day, thats not the point of X. We should never reboot. So I stay in 9, to play UT, I do have high hopes for a carbonized version of it, and Balders gate 2 carbon would be awesome!

I'm like Juan now. I used to always be in X, but now I'm in 9 most of the time because my computer is primarily for entertainment and not business. I had it in X when I had to get things done (and to help elminate the distraction of games!). I've found that Inside Mac Games does a pretty good job of keeping me posted on what a game's X status is.

UT will be carbonized, it just might be a little bit longer than what we all want. I will be VERY happy the day it is completed.
