I have been eyeing those new LCD's from Apple, as I am planning to get a G4 this summer. However, I would use this machine a lot for games, and I was wondering how LCD's do with games (Baldur's Gate, Unreal, those kind of games). I remember seeing something about games not doing too well on LCD's, was I imagining things or are things fixed or are CRT's still a better option?

Please do a search of this forum with the word 'LCD' in the search criteria line, as there are at least three similar topics which have been posted in the past month.

Thanks in advance,

Yes, it still stands, LCDs are just not made for games... cannot refresh pixels fast enough so that we do not notice.

Yeah, you get alot of blurring with LCDs, but they are fine if you ignore that (or get used to it).

I have just purchased the Apple 17' LCD and not only is the colour from it more vibrant but it handles games like Quake 3 and Rogue Spear perfectly. I agree that LCD's in the PAST couldnt handle fast paced action games but that is really not the case now with the current batch of LCD's from apple.
