Sorry to bore you with this one, I've looked at reviews and read the spec's I just wanted some feedback before I shelled out.
Looking at the Saitek P1750, which was recommended by Saitek sales, for Games such as UT, 4X4, VGS & Rune etc. Can anyone recommend one of these (or not) and does anyone know how Mac compatible they are. (I know your'e supposed to play UT with the mouse/keyboard, I just can't get the damn hang of it!)
Thanks

Well, I can't say anything aboutthat particular model, but I do know that Saitek makes some damn good peripherals.

I have their USB Cyborg 3D joystick, and I've never had a problem with it - very well made.

Note, however..... You're better off sticking with a keyboard/mouse combo until you DO get the hang of it. For one, it will sharpen your navigation skills with both devices, and secondly - you won't get your butt kicked.

Seriously. Gamepads are all right for some stuff, but for shooters you'll get plastered every time......

If you like keyboard + mouse, try a Saitek GM-2 or GM-3 game pad, which replaces the keyboard. See my full review here:

Note that since then, one button has gone flaky very quickly--but I am led to believe Saitek makes good products normally, so I'll try to trade it in on warranty.
