hi, that got your attention, didn't it?

There was news in may of the V12 engine being ported by associates of GarageGames.com.

This is great and tells us that Tribes 2 could actually be ported to macintosh within a few months.

On the other hand, theres sierra. They have had a bad reputation with mac games for quite a while. Unfortunatly, I wasn't into gaming as i am now. From what I can tell, most of the animosity comes from the canclation of half-life and tribes. Now onto the main subject of tribes2.

This game port was also cancled. I don't know what progress was made (if any) on the port at sierra or its partners, but since the v12 engine is ported by a company seemingly willing to port and release the rest of the game...what will sierra do?

Will sierra allow a port? Will it licence the rest of the code to Garage Games to port and release? What would be a counter incentive for sierra? Will another company licence the v12 engine from garage games for 100$ and port the rest of the game themselves?

this is a great game, and it would be great to see it on macintosh. Why won't this happen, and what can we do to encourage its development?
