Can anyone give me some advice on buying the new Powerbook 667 with 512mb RAM. I want it for burning cd's, digital photos, and the internet. I am also an avid gamer and was wondering if the Powerbook will be up to it??

Will the PB be able to support games for the next couple of years. Am really looking forward to Jedi Knight and Neverwinternights.

Lastly, this machine will also be my substitute desktop.

Thanks all.

Jedi Knight II should work well in most places, Newerwinter Nights should work well too.
Yet, you can't expect it to run the next generation of games really good:
Doom III is an excellent example. The demo at E3 ran on the next-generation ATi graphics hardware and there WERE slowdowns in some places.
UT 2003 won't be that taxing for your PBook, yet, you won't be able to run it using the highest resolution and maximum details.

That's it. Since you asked if the TiBook supported new games for the next couple of years, the answer is no, definitely.

Right now is, frankly, a TERRIBLE time to buy a Mac for gaming. At least wait until after MWNY, when hopefully some graphics (pray for better standard cards) and speed updates will be made to G4's in general (affecting PBG4s, iMacs, eMacs, and PMG4s).
Be happy.
