I'm hanging out for the OS X, id "official" version of Q3.

Graeme Devine said he'd post it this weekend... but so far, I can't see it.

If anybody DOES see it, would they kindly post a link?

Thanks

Well, that's part of what he said. He qualified it by saying it would be released last weekend barring any unforseen problems. But from the tone of his .plan file, I'd suspect any delay will be brief.....joe

We're covering this topic throughout the day at games.macnn.com. I'm paid to keep on top of this stuff so just check the site throughout the day if you want to know exactly when the Mac binaries are released.

You read right. I got the Monday date because that is what Graeme said last on the Quake3World forums. Though Monday has come and gone...

OK...I got the 1.27g build and OS X installed. When I try to run Q3 it loads classic and then Q3. Is there a way to run this under OS X without classic?

Sorry if this old, but I'm new to all this OS X stuff...

OS X Gamer:

Q3 1.27 is not a OS X application, it is not carbon compliant, so therefore it will only run in OS 8/9. Id has said they will be releasing a Cocoa version, meaning OS X native, but it might be a few weeks (think MacWorld Expo timeframe).
