I know that Open GL is way better than Rave. And I know that you can use Open GL to render the graphics in Unreal Tournament Edition (the updater read me says how to). But after I've made the changes to the files and start the game, I get an error message. This error message tells me something like MinTextureSize<MaxTextureSize, File OpenGL ccs: line 199. Any suggestions on how to fix this. By the way I'm using the demo version of Unreal Tournament. Maybe I need the full version for Open GL support on my iBook.

Yes I do have the last Open GL drivers. Version 1.2.1 (from the Cro Mag Rally game) to be exact. I wonder if downgrading to 1.1.2 would do the trick?

You said you made the changes to the files...do you mean that you altered the unrealtournament.ini file for open GL? You probably already did this, but in case you didn't, you need to:

1. Set the rendering device:
GameRenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice

2. Add parameters for the Open GL engine by cutting and pasting:
[OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice]
Translucency=True
VolumetricLighting=True
ShinySurfaces=True
Coronas=True
HighDetailActors=True
MinLogTextureSize=0
MaxLogTextureSize=10
MaxLogUOverV=10
MaxLogVOverU=10
UseMultiTexture=1
Texture32Bit=0
DoPrecache=0
DescFlags=0
Description=

This applies to the 436 version of UT...I'm not sure if the latest demo is the same.

I wouldn't spend too much time on getting it to work. UT is not optimized for Open GL and runs much slower when using it. For a Mac, your only real choices are RAVE and Glide, depending on your video card. Glide gives SLIGHTLY better performance than RAVE, but neither API is optimized as well as Open GL on the Mac. Blame UT for having an antiquated rendering engine.
