I'm quite frustrated. I'm in Episode 2 of Colony. I'm the human, and I get to the stage where my instructions are to "get across the field to the APC." I've been at this stage for almost 2 weeks.

Not asking for the complete answer (yet), but please give me a clue of what to do next. First of all, what field are they talking about (is it outside or inside), and what the hell is an "APC"

That last part is easy: Armored Personnel Carrier

It helps if your grandpa was career military . As for the rest, i don't know. I am doing the Pred version of the game first.

I don't have Aliens vs Predators, but doesn't APC stand for Armoured Personnel Carrier - a military vehicle to carry soldiers.

Same as me, I'm not able to beat Episode 2 in Human. I don't really know where to go next and I don't want to cheat. I've been in that level since I got the copy when it was released (gotta to be around one month) Damn it!

Anyone know how to beat that level? I would like to hear hints instead of straight answer, thanks

Walker,

At what point on this level are you stuck? It's a bit tricky because of a couple of small tunnels that are easy to miss. And there are a helluva lot of aliens to kill.

I'm at the point in the level where I've have "collected the manual bypass." The next message I get (message #10) is "Your on home stretch. Stay focused Marine. Get across that field and get to the APC."

From this point I've run around everywhere. Eventually I die. This is getting very frustrating. Any tips you have will be greatly appreciated.

Walker,

I assume that you've gotten the manual bypass from the medlab. From there, get down to level one and exit to the outside. Once outside, return to the Main Gate (it's located across the outdoor area, directly opposite the gate you''ve just exited). The manual bypass opens the main gate. Once through the gate, follow the winding narrow path all the way to the APC. Be warned, the pathway is crawling with aliens; use the smartgun.

I swear I have done that a million times before. For some reason, hitting the "return" button when I was standing right next to the gate, it wouldn't open it. Or maybe I'm just crazy. Anyway, thanks a lot for your help.

I had the same solution for you, maybe you have to check which button uses the manual bypass. I was sure I had the manual bypass once and got stuck at the maingate as well. Turned out that in my complete override of all the default settings I forgot to set a key to use an item . Maybe you have to doublecheck if you have the key.

I completely finished the game, bytheway. The end level is extremely difficult but cool. (and graphically very buggy)
