would allied assault be a fun playable experience, i've read the minimum specs and this would be the first time i'd been running so close to the border...

It might be a playable game with what you have. With my Dual 1ghz, 1.5gb RAM, and Geforce 4 Ti it will lags every so often online, lag as in the frames per second goes down. But this is with everything maxed out... I am not sure if it will be playable on your machine..... <img border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" title="" src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" />

Your machine is fine other than the video card.

You need to purchase a radeon, gforce 2mx or better&gt; With a decent video card, you would run it fine.
MacBook Alu, 13", 2.4Ghz, 4GB RAM, 256MB video
G5 Imac, 17", 1.9Ghz, 1.5GB RAM, 128MB video, built in isight, airport and bluetooth
Indigo iBook, 366mhz; 320MB RAM; CD; FW; Airport

It will be far from "playable" even on the lowest settings. I assume it's a rage 128? My G3 500 in OS9 CRASHED trying to run the RTCW beach test, which was much less intensive than the real version. Good luck, imho it's a waste of money unless you get a Geforce 3+ or Radeon 7500+ with such an old processor.
