Is there any way I can download the source code for Quake 3 to make a mod on a mac?? I can see id released the Windows version, so why don't they do the same with Mac OS X?

Aren't Q3 mods supposed to be modular? i.e, can run on any platform? If that's the case, then technically, shouldn't you NOT need to have Mac OS X specific source code?
My knowledge of programming is roughly similar to my knowledge of the mating habits of Platypii, but I think this is what I heard...

I think you mean the Orginal Quake source was released. They still use the Q3 for licenseing and the like. You should be able to make mod level/charater design though. I don't think you need the source code to do it.

They did release the Quake 3 Source, as well as the Return to Castle Wolfenstein source, and no the PC code will not compile on my mac.
