I have been running the patch for Broodwar on OS X. I have noticed a couple of things. I'm not sure it is just the patch, OS X or what but I have noticed that it does run much smoother than the OS 9.x version. Sometimes with the OS 9 version I noticed that if you had a lot of things on the screen it would lag in the graphics a little. The OS X version so far has never done that. Is that something due to OS X? I know that it is pretty much the same as the previous versions except for the UDP support and the Port to OS X. Just thought I'd mention the couple of things I noticed other than the nice icon.

Question to the people at blizzard, Is it possible to get rid of the Broodwar files for OS 9? Does the Star editor program need it? If not I would like to get rid of the files associated for OS 9 off my machine

Great! Runs better then 9 (if thats really possible ) I can now play in window mode, never before could we do that. All that is missing is the last networking options, then were set.

GREAT JOB BLIZZARD!!!!

hit Cmd-M to toggle full screen vs windowed. I believe the mnemonic was "M for Menu Bar"

D2 is the same way (on OS9 of course)

This is good news. I did not know that sc had made it to X.1 and I was just thinking to myself that it would be a good thing if blizard did this.

Indeed the graphics routines for OS X are superior to OS 9, as well as processor management. The process manager is far more effecient in X than in 9, and I imagine that the new memory architecture might also play a role...

I can't wait to say "Diablo 2 is the same way" without having to say in OS 9 of course

Rob everyone down in Blizzard deservs a pat on the back for the carbon SC, now please do another fantastic job with Diablo 2, that is the ONLY thing I would need to boot into 9 to use. Please let me delete OS 9 off my HD, please

SC X is pretty cool.

However, last night I was playing with my roommates and found that I could not load "big" maps (usually 6 players and above). Anyone else having this problem or have a fix for it? Thanks in advance.

No problems here. @ home I play on a lan with an iMac G4, ibook and a PC. We play maps like snow 98 and regular hunters all the time.

I wonder what my problem is.... The biggest map I can play is a six player map. Bigger maps result in SC crashing...
