Well, here it is: I got the Oni demo on my G4/400 w/OpenGL 1.2.1 (Cro-mag version). Ran it last night, almost finished it, but went to bed.

Got up today - started fine, but would lock up solid when I loaded a save game - the mouse would go unresponsive as soon as the bar started, and everything would stop when it got about a cm. from the end. Had to button-reset.

It also does it when starting a new game. I simply can't get it to work. What's confusing is that it worked last night, but now no go....any sugestions??????/

Same thing happens to me on my Key Lime SE with 135MB of RAM allocated to it and OpenGL version 1.1.4
This is incredibly frustrating 'cause Oni looks so cool!!!

Setting the RAM allocation back down to the original preferred size seems to fix the problem...tell me if it works...also, how much physical RAM does your machine have?

Hmmmmmm. Very strange.

I only have 128 megs of RAM...so VM is now a must for me in all the newer games (looking to go 256 megs shortly). However, I'm pretty sure I changed Oni's Preferred settings when I first launced it, because i usually set it a little higher than it wants.

However, maybe i'm wrong...could someone tell me the original Preferred Memory size so I could reset it and try it out???? Can't remember if there's a way to find that from my end or not...I'm in OS X right now....

Thanks,
greg

Thanks. It worked, everyone. I can't wait until OS X gives us some decent memory management...........
