Hey guys,

This is Ben from macplay. We are trying to track down a very hard to find bug involving some scripting within the game. If anyone has had trouble during the Mecc base building campaign please e-mail me or just post it. If anybody has questions also feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks
-Ben

Hi there,

Thanks for posting, and hope you get some good replys. This is a good site for finding a fair share of Mac gamers.

I myself have not purchased the game, but is there any hope for a demo soon?

There should be a demo for Sacrafice soon, and hopefully for Giants.

I haven't gotten that far yet in Giants. Hilariously funny game...

I'll ask you the obvious question though... any word on the multiplayer patch for Giants?

I've been playing Giants a little bit every day since my copy arrived last week. I just started the Reaper campaign today, and didn't have any problems with the base building in the Mecc campaign. The game also hasn't crashed a single time, and runs very good on my Dual 533/896 mb/GeForce 2 MX.

The only thing this game is missing for me is multiplayer =)

Oh, and since you're from MacPlay, I might as well mention that I'm addicted to Baldur's Gate 2, but I have to restart into 9 to play it, in X it's horrible.

I bet it will run with amazing speed, but Apple does not yet support all the features of the GeForce3 "Object Bumpmapping" and "Environment Mapping" aren't available in the game (until Apple fixes it). Pity.

Good to see all these replies.

The multiplayer patch will be out soon. Probably in alittle over a week. If we can find this bug we can also fix that and a few more issues. Elvin is correct about the geforce effect also. Apple really needs to rewrite opengl for OSX and also provide better driver support, but that is a difrent forum . We may also be getting a game with a certain Kate Archer but thats on the low-down if you get my drift and there probably wont be a press release until after the new year. Anway feel free to let us know about that Mecc scripting bug or any other bugs.
