I'm just wondering about everyone's thoughts on which Warcraft III box to buy. I know it's a slight detail, and it doesn't really matter. But I know a PC friend of mine regretted buying the Protoss box since that was then made the standard box type. I think I'll buy a Humans box, but the Elf looks interesting too. Opinons? Vote and post!

Come to think of it, the store only had orc copies - hundreds of them...

I like the elf and undead as well. Human looks a little uninteresting to me.

Cant wait to play it. In fact I might do that right... NOW!

I'm just hoping that it runs in a semi-tolerable state on my iBook 466. I know I'm pushing it, since I've read posts about it being sluggish on an iMac 800. Yet, even if it doesn't work well enough to play I'll be happy to have it waiting for that G5 Apple's coming out with real soon now.

Well I wasn't about to be caught dead buying a game with a lavender girl on the cover, nor was I going to be caught dead buying a game with a ken doll reject on the cover, and I'm not nearly goth enough to buy the horned demon guy so......that left orc.

I couldn't justify spending the extra money, but I bet it's a cool thing to have.

I just got mine in the mail today! The packaging is really nice. Big slide out box with a really nice Art of Warcraft book, 4 lithographs of the box cover art, special manual signed by the developement team, install disc (collectors edition), audio soundtrack CD, DVD with all cinematics and commentary and such. I think it's well worth the extra money. I can't wait to get started playing!

I probably would have sprung for the Collector's Edition if I had better hardware to run the game on. I know it's worth the money, but I'm just cautious because I probably won't get to enjoy the game until I get new hardware.

I am partial to the undead as far as fantasy creatures in general go, so I would have bought that box. Unfortunately, Future Shop didn't appear to have any, so I went for the pretty purple girl.

Hmmm, what Icon do you get if you buy the Human box (or undead/purple girl)... I purchased the Orc, and had an Orc icon in OSX... I wonder if they are all the same or if they change with every box...

My wife surprised me by bringing home a copy of WC3 for me last nite (and the second season of Buffy on DVD for herself). It was the Night Elf box, but you know what? I really don't give a damn. I'm not keeping the box anyway.

Now, let's hear it for the coolest wife ever!! :-)

I go tthe big, black, drawer-like special edition box. I framed the Lithos. They are arranged nicely above my computer. Night Elf (race of choice) centered above, directly below her is the Undead, to the right and slightly lower than the Undead is the Human, opposite the Human is the Orc.

The DVD, Soundtrack, and game disc sit on a shelf to the right of the Night Elf Litho, the Manual and Art of Warcraft books are to the left. The Box sits above her.

Can you tell I like Warcraft III a little? Now to learn the Editor. Need a better video card first though. damn that puppy runs slow Yipes.

Does anyone else think the guy on the box looks like Brenden Fraser, you know that guy from "The Mummy" and "Blast From The Past." Except with longer hair. My friends all think the same, and its very strange.
