I'm on an iBook, what keys would I use to rotate the camera???

See the ones above yout arrow-keys? Like HOME and DEL...play with those...

Oh, sorry, I don't have an iBook. I'd guess the keyboard is just like that on the old iMacs, in which case those keys are above the NUM Pad
Play with them...

No laptops don't have number pads .

I have tried pressing every single button on the ibook keyboard and none of them rotate the camera (I mean side to side), unless it is a combination of keys or there is some way to assign keys - which I can't find.

For home you do fn (the key all the way to the left) + left-arrow
For delete you do fn + delete.

On my ibook there is writing over the top of they keys (in soft blue i think) which indicates the function of that key when the "function" key is held simultaneously with it.

Your should be the same - as per the earlier post the directional keys have secondary functions when depressed with the function key.

hit the number lock button at the top of the keyboard (kinda in the middle) and then you can use those light buttons in the middle of your keyboard. it just locks the numbers in, and letter out. easier than holding down fnc
