Compared to the Radeon 8500, it's not as powerful, but the 8500 isn't out for the mac yet (nor are the Ti geforce's) so it's the best you can get.

I read a couple of rumors that the Ti line might be available for the Mac come Jan. I'm waiting until then before I make a final decision on my upgrades.

It was droolworthy when it came out. Probably a good use of money, but not as good as the next generation, which will come out in a month or two. Remember, the Ge 3 has been around for a while.

You can buy a PC GeForce3 for about $250 and - if you have access to a PC - you can flash it to work in your Mac. I did it and it's great!
