Anyone else get the error Opengl failed to initialize, when trying to launch Woflenstein MP after having played and quit, but not restarted, and trying to play again.

There must be a way around this without restarting my computer.

Im using a Ti 550.

Loging out and then logging back in will let you play again. I have a friend with a TiBook 400 and he gets the same problem in Quake 3 and WolfMPTest 2. We figure that it's not something messed up with his OS X install since we booted from my iMac DV in firewire disk mode and it still happened, but I have no problem on my iMac. So, it looks like it's either a bug in the Q3 OpenGL code or some quirk with the TiBooks video. Until this post, I wasn't aware that others had this problem. Maybe it's time to fire off an e-mail to id software or Apple.

BTW, how does WolfMP play on the Ti550? I hear that RTCW has much higher requirements than Q3 (which barely plays well on my machine). Oh, looks like it's time to update your sig file!!!

Cheers from BoneHead (buddy of Kelix) in South Australia

Installization - that should be a word for something. I don't know what, but it really should. Anyone have any ideas as to what 'Installization' could be made to stand for?

Weird, I had the same problem with Giants... I wonder if there's any permanent solution to this.

I've only gotten it with classic running. That is the reason why logging out and back in fixes the issue---classic is quit upon a logout like a regular application.

btw, I have deleted that damn game. (End of the semester, you know). Even though it is a one level multiplayer demo, it was so incredibly good.

ahhh. thank goodness for christmas break. *Perfect* timing.

Anyway. I go by the name "monkeyspanks" so "hi" me if you want. If you are on the other team, I might consider being a secret agent.....

(oh yes, I also have a tiBook 400 too)
