For some of the people that haven't tried Battle.net, I recommend doing so. It will update you to 1.01 as seen in this <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/dewey2002/WC3.jpg" target="_blank">screenshot</a> ... Perhaps this is the cause of all of the strange performance issues?

Everyone did update didn't they?

Battle.net worked to update Warcraft III on my iMac 800, but not on my iBook. I ended up downloading the standalone installer and now everything is fine.

Hmmm, was there any difference between 1.0 and 1.01? I downloaded the patch the second I installed the game...

I updated after I had played a few games. I saw no real performance gains in OS X. And I hadn't played in 9 at the time, so I don't know about that. But I do know that 9 gameplay is 10x better than X. So from now on, it's booting to 9 to play WC3. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
