Okay, my little brother and I are having an agrument. He thinks that there is still a secret yet to be found in Simcity 2000 by building a whole bunch of Launch arcos. I maintain that there isn't because I've seen another city reach max population and nothing happened. Who's right? Anybody ever find the "final secret to Simearth"?

I've seen superman fly over a city...
That happens rarely in extreme disasters.
Like volcanoes... they are cool.
I'll check it out - haven't played that for AGES

If you build 255 (I think it's 255, it may be 100... I haven't played the game in years) Launch Arcos, they'll actually launch. You'll get a message that "The exodus has begun" and one by one each of your Launch Arcos will launch (blow up). From what I recall, nothing happens when they're all done launching... you just lose 99% of your city's population and the game continues.

It sure was fun to watch them launch though Building that many arcos wasn't easy, without cheats

That superman is called maxis man. If you deny the govt from putting a military base in your city, he will come to save you every fourth disaster.

I love that game

Ahh, I remember that.
I was a little annoyed, but it was still funny.
Military bases are so cool when they develop properly...
Has anyone else seen the things like volcanoes and all that?
You can resedit the scenario files to make heaps and heaps of different and really cool disasters...

I guess my brother is right, and now I have a reason to play the game again. . .

I never saw a missle base. I guess you need to be in a really hilly town or something to get that military base.

So what is the final secret of SimEarth? That was a fantastic game, but the furthest I could always get is an entire planet of Avians :-)

I had one once. Very hard to get. I wonder if I still have that city somewhere.
