I just bought this game at the local target last night, and have been playing it non-stop. The game play is similar to Diablo, but with a true 3D environment. And there is control of multiple characters is a lot like Baldur's Gate. Overall, this is a very fun game, with a great, involving story line.
My only gripes about it are that 1) it doesn't run in X (bummer), and 2) for some reason it won't let me quit the game without crashing. Haha, they want me to play it forever!
Anyway, I just wanted to tell a little about this fun game, since no one else seems to have mentioned it yet.

It is a great game, I agree! It DOES run under OS X, through classic of course. Just set the game screen size to the same screen resolution you're using on your desktop (this keeps your icons in place).
You didn't mention what your system config was. Increase the game memory size to the most you can give it. This depends on how much ram you have. You may have to boot into OS 9 to do it. This should help with the crashing.
I had posted a question last week about enabling the cheats. I found out the answer. It was in one of the included read me's, of course.
***Double click to start the game, hold down the shift key, you'll then get a small dialog box, check enable console, play the game and hit the ~ (tilde) key to get a command line at the top of the screen. You'll have to get the commands from a game cheat site, look for the game under the PC listings.***

Cool, thanks for the little tip. Though I'm not much for cheat codes.
I'm on a 533 DP, 896 mb RAM, GeForce 2 MX. I boosted the games memory to about 800 mb before I ever even ran it the first time. I think something might have messed up in the installation, it seems like I have been having lots of problems installing things in OS 9 lately...

I would try lowering the memory allocation to around 600-700 MB. Since V:TM uses OpenGL, it's important to leave space in memory for it to load.
Also, have you tried running Norton or DiskWarrior on your partions? Disk errors and file corruption *might* be the cause of your problems with OS 9.
