just installed a radeon card.

dl'd the .27h updater for quake 3, but when i launch it, screen goes yellow, and returns a 'recursive error: user interface 3, expected 6'

any ideas?

Sounds like you installed it without having the previous build of 127g installed. It won't work without that and the yellow screen is exaclty what you get without it.
